Let customers speak for us
from 6 reviewsThese curriculums are amazing! They get your kids thinking, and due to this book being a “graphic novel” it is even sucking in my reluctant reader. We will be using these curriculums for years to come.
"I just wanted to say you guys have knocked it out of the park again for us. We are just about to finish "The American Food System" study. At first I was hesitant to attempt this with my higher schooler as she is a reluctant reader and writer due to dyslexia, but after a couple weeks of making a few adjustments it has been incredible. She is not at grade level with writing or reading so she does a separate writing program, but she is incredibly intelligent and discerning. It has been hard to find a curriculum that feeds her intellectually with where she is at with her reading and writing, but after deciding to get the audiobook version and discussing the questions with her, she has grasped so much. To hear the growth and maturity in her answers has been amazing. We have enjoyed the projects and she has taken on your suggested annotation examples in to other areas of her schooling and it is helping her with her reading comprehension. I am just really thankful for your curriculum."
This is the literature guide my ELA-gifted kiddo has needed for years! Literary analysis is a passion for him and he appreciated the journal prompts and critical thinking activities sprinkled through every week. For me, the annotation and reading guide was the shining star. It took something that we struggled wtih for a year and made it stick. This unit was robust and connected literature accross the curriculum. It exceeded my expectations. I even learned new things! I cannot wait to usemore of Praire and Pine's offerings!
I love how in depth the study guides are and how they really open your child’s mind and gets them thinking. I am looking forward to more from them for my younger children.
My high schoolers and I enjoyed your Malala unit. We’ve jumped over to Bravewriter for now (they’re enjoying a deep dive into The Hunger Games 😆) but I plan to do at least one more of your units before the end of our school year. I’m seriously considering having my middle schooler do a Prairie and Pine/Bravewriter combo next year. Sonlight lays a good foundation and they have some really great lit books, but it starts to be a lot of writing as the students get older. I think my Junior especially is enjoying the slower language arts pace this year. And I’m loving not having to grade two writing assignments a week just from her (because eventually, they’d pile up). Love and appreciate what you ladies do. I’m so glad I stopped at your booth at convention last summer.
Happy Thanksgiving to you both!
“I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the unit "Finding Your Way!" My kids are reluctant writers with varying degrees of dyslexia due to a long line of family history. Language Arts has always been something they dread and we have gone through multiple curriculums trying to find some success and joy. I have a 4th, 6th, and 8th grader and decided to do this as a group. I found it easy to adjust assignments to each ones level and spaced it out over a 12 week period. Well this is the first one all three loved. They loved the book choice first off and the assignments were not too overwhelming and yet held such depth to them. The encouragement to annotate has been huge and the variety of ways to learn with in the unit has really kept their attention. Anyways I just wanted you to know how much we appreciate you guys. You have been an answer to prayer for sure. We already purchased "The Hatchet" and "Exploring the Food System" for next year. Thank you!”
